Mohammad Khalili told IRNA on Wednesday that exports from Jolfa customs have surged 55 percent by weight in the first seven months of the year as compared to the same period of the preceding year.
He added that the export volume in these seven months was 163,926 tons of goods by weight and worth $88.7 million.
The official said the export items mainly included oil derivatives, construction products, and dried fruits.
Jolfa custom office had also imported 123,042 tons of goods worth $311.543 million in this period of time, Khalili said.
He continued that statistics indicated the imported goods rose by 12 percent by weight and value in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (beginning March 21, 2022).
